Effective 7 October 2026
1. The client comes first
- Listen before you interpret. A consultation is about the person, not the chart.
- Use plain, kind language, and check that the client has understood.
- Respect every client regardless of religion, caste, gender, sexuality, disability, age or background.
2. Honesty
- Present traditional interpretations as tradition, not as proven fact.
- Never guarantee an event, a date, a cure or an outcome.
- Represent your qualifications accurately. The Astrotherapist licence is not a clinical qualification and must never be described as one.
3. No fear
- Never predict death, serious illness, accident or disaster for a client or their family.
- Never use a chart to frighten, shame or pressure anyone, including about marriage compatibility, doshas or “bad periods”.
- Describe difficult placements as challenges to understand, not sentences to endure.
4. Remedies and money
- Remedies are optional. Never insist on one, and never make the consultation conditional on buying one.
- Do not sell or recommend costly gemstones, objects or rituals for profit, or take commission on them.
- Charge only the published consultation price.
5. Stay within your scope
- Do not diagnose, or advise on medicine, treatment, law or investment.
- Never suggest that someone stop or change a medical or psychological treatment.
- When you notice signs of risk, such as thoughts of self-harm, abuse or severe distress, stop the reading, respond with care, give crisis contacts such as Tele-MANAS 14416, and encourage professional help.
6. Confidentiality and consent
- Keep everything a client shares confidential, except where there is a serious risk to life or the law requires disclosure.
- Never record a call outside the platform's consented recording.
- Discuss a client's case for teaching or research only under their pseudonym and with their consent.
7. Boundaries
- No romantic or sexual relationship with a client, ever.
- Do not exploit a client's trust for personal, financial or social advantage.
- Keep contact to the booking, its chat and its follow-up.
8. Continuing learning
Keep studying across all five academy tracks, take part in case review, and renew your licence each year.
Complaints and enforcement
Anyone may report a breach of this code to our grievance officer. We acknowledge each report, hear the practitioner's account, and decide within 15 days. Outcomes may include no action, guidance, a formal warning, suspension from the directory, or revocation of the licence. A revoked licence shows as revoked on its public verification page.
